Membership and cancellation period
The membership of GHBS runs from July 1st to June 30th. If you want to cancel before the new season, there is a one-month notice period and you must unsubscribe before June 1st. If you unsubscribe after May 31st, we will charge the annual contribution in accordance with the statutes. In the event of interim termination of membership in the period June 1st and September 1st and after September 1st, you will find below the consequences for the obligation to pay the annual contribution.
Termination of membership between 1 June and 1 September For termination of membership between 1 June and 1 September, we do not charge the entire annual contribution. The amount of the contribution to be paid depends on the date of termination and is as follows:
June 1 and June 30 €75 July 1 and July 30 €125 August 1 - August 31 €175
You will receive an invoice from GHBS with a request to pay the applicable amount.
Termination of membership after 1 September For youth members, termination during the season is not possible. Interim termination for seniors is possible as of 1 January. For this, deregistration before 1 December is required.
Our statutes and bylaws state that GHBS will not be granted a refund of the annual contribution. Article 7 paragraph 8 of the Bylaws (HHR) reads as follows:
“8. Refund of contributions will not be granted, except in very special cases, at the discretion of the board. A member must submit a written or electronic request to the board for this purpose.”
In the event of interim termination or injuries sustained during the season or other forms of impediment to playing matches or participating in training, the obligation to pay the entire annual contribution remains undiminished. Even if the contribution is paid in installments.
In very special cases, the board may deviate from this. Do you think you qualify for this? Then send an e-mail with motivation to penningmeester@ghbs.nl. The refund request for a specific association year must be submitted in the same association year. We will not process requests after March 1 of the association year in question. The response time to your request is approximately 2 to 4 weeks. The refund of the contribution is never 100%.
Depending on when you stop, we will return a percentage of your contribution.
If your refund request is approved, we will apply the following rules:
- Refunds requested before December 1st will return a maximum of 40% of the contribution.
- Refunds requested between December 1 and March 1 will result in a maximum of 25% of the contribution being returned.
We do not refund entrance fees and line surcharges.
